Moderated by Matt Kelly, CEO and Editor of Radical Compliance

A three-part webinar series presented by AccessData

As the volume of data that companies possess grows exponentially, so do the risks of data breach, burdensome e-discovery, and forensics investigations gone awry. IT security departments, compliance officers, audit teams, and legal departments must band together to anticipate and address those threats effectively. Navigating these unchartered waters can seem daunting, and not always do companies have a compass to guide the way.

This three-part webinar series will tap leading organizations on how they chart a course to face today’s challenges in information risk; devise strategies and techniques for investigating sprawling data; and explore the impact of changing regulation on data governance and compliance.

Please share this invitation with any friends or colleagues who might also be interested. A recording of the webinar will be made available at Forensic Focus at a later date.

Chapter Meeting Sept 1, 2016

The next meeting of the Aberdeen (ISC)2 Chapter Meeting will be Thursday, 1 September 2016.

The topic of the meeting will be Physical Security, presented by Steven Crowley and Brian Gugel. Physical Security is data security; you can have the most hardened servers and networks in the world but that doesn’t make the slightest difference if someone can gain direct access to a keyboard, or worse yet, march your hardware right out the front door.

Physical Security is Part 1 of a 4-part series highlighting various topics and presentations from BlackHat 2016.

Meeting details are as follows:
Where: NEW LOCATION! Harford County Memorial VFW 5337 3705 PULASKI HIGHWAY, ABINGDON MARYLAND 21009

Note: If coming from the APG area, traveling on 40 you will see the VFW on the left hand side. You will need to pass it, and make a U-turn in order to pull in to the VFW.

When: 5:30 pm Thursday 1 September 2016
Cost: Chapter Members – FREE, non-members – $5
Annual Chapter dues are $25.

We hope to see you there!

ISC(2) Aberdeen Chapter Meeting

What: Chapter Meeting
When: 30 June 2016 at 5:00pm
Where: Harford County VFW, 3705 Pulaski Hwy, Abingdon, MD 21009

This chapter meeting will be briefed by Mr. Eric Gursky. Mr. Gursky leads the U.S. Army’s lead for the integration of NSA’s Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program. He will be discussing the various aspects of the Mobility, VPN, and Wireless capability packages, the process for registering your CSfC solution with NSA. The CSfC program has been around for a few years, but has recently made strides to help close the gap of waiting for a government off the shelf (GOTS) product for approval on classified networks. CSfC allows for the rapid deployment for classified networks.
